Operating System, Format & Compatibility Guide

This guide lists the supported operating systems, plug‑in formats, and legacy compatibility for Sonnox plug‑ins.
It also notes products that are available only in the current G5 format and those with legacy G4 support.


Supported Plug‑in Formats (Current G5 Licences)

  • 64‑bit VST3

  • 64‑bit Audio Units (AU)

  • 64‑bit AAX Native

  • 64‑bit AAX DSP

Legacy Support: 32‑bit AAX, VST, AU, RTAS, and TDM are no longer actively supported but legacy installers remain available for certain older plug‑ins.

These products are not available in G4 legacy formats:

  • Voca

  • ListenHub

  • Claro

  • Dynamic EQ

  • Drum Gate

  • Envolution

  • VoxDoubler

  • SuprEsser DS


CPU / GPU Requirements

  • CPU – Intel or Apple Silicon (Rosetta 2 or native) for macOS; x64‑compatible CPU for Windows.

  • GPU – Most plug‑ins run without GPU acceleration requirements. Certain products (e.g., Drum Gate UI rendering) require OpenGL 3.3 or higher.

  • RAM – Minimum 4 GB; 8 GB or higher recommended.


Additional Notes

  • Compatibility may vary slightly between plug‑ins — always check the product page for exact system requirements.

  • Legacy installer access is available for customers with qualifying licences — contact Sonnox Support if you need assistance.
